Some students are embarrassed when they did poorly for their exams. Hence they are not able to enrol in a branded-name school.
Hence tutors can take students on a learning journey to cultivate interest in learning. It is important to nurture motivation and inculcate values such as self-discipline, resilience, perseverance and teamwork to develop a love for the learning subjects.
Students can also take part in a programme designed to motivate them. Such as they can take part in community project, work attachment to be coach by a mentor to motivate such learning process or attend the night-study programme organised by school and parent volunteers.
Teachers need to take extra effort to motivate students who have been demoralised by past failures to believe in themselves.
